27 Sep Towards Institution Building and Cultural Growth
The project aimed to recognize the right to freedom of thought, expression and belief is a
fundamental human right, and along with the acceptance of diversity and difference forms the
cornerstone of meaningful democracy. The project sought to work with the students and faculty of
institutions of higher education in Lahore and Gujrat to i) built on their knowledge base and engage
with new ideas and points of view other than their own and ii) help develop their critical and analytical
skills.
Interaction with undergraduate students maintained over a period of three years (2014-2016).
Activities: This was an interactive project comprising of series of activities including seminars,
workshops, and activities such as interactive theatre, mock parliamentary sessions, story writing
sessions, inter-collegiate debates.
