Human Rights Children’s Primers (Urdu) Simorgh Women’s Resource and Publication Centre

The success of the Kaleidoscope Human Rights Children’s Primers being used in English medium schools set the stage for the Phuljhari Human Rights Children’s Primers. These are aimed at Urdu medium schools most of which cater to low income sections of society. Like the Kaleidoscope Primers, the Phuljhari Primers are based on the premise that values learnt in childhood play an important role in forming the adult mind. Given the increasing violence and growing intolerance towards human rights of others, these primers have been developed as a step towards the awareness of an individual’s rights and the rights of others. The Phuljhari Primers series includes books 1 – 10. Each level is accompanied by its Teacher’s Guide.
